If you read my last post, you will know that yesterday I purchased some Fudge Urban Hair Art in 'Turquoise Noise', amongst a bundle of other products. Straight after I wrote that post, I decided I couldn't wait to play around with it. I had no intentions of giving myself a full head of blue hair...
I literally intended on putting this on the ends of my hair, but stupidly, I stood in the mirror, and just said to myself 'just go a bit higher'...And then proceeded to say that approximately another five times until my whole head was blue. As you can see, the can was running out as I got closer to the top, so the end result was kind of patchy. Also, you can see the blonde making a few cheeky appearances through the ends, which I purposely left like that, because it made it more 'mermaidy'... There I go making words up again. Incase you didn't see the last post, this is the product:
It was a simple case of spraying your hair, and I have to say, when it's made that easy to give yourself blue hair, it does make it hard to resist the urge to just cover your whole head, so I did.
Applying this was the easy part, it was actually managing it that was the most awkward. It says that best results are on washed and styled hair. I had already washed my hair, so I curled it before applying it. As pretty as it looked, it completely dried out my hair and made it so tatty. The consistency is really powdery, and I literally couldn't move my hair without it getting wrapped round my fingers and really tearing, and I would end up with blue fingers!
After already applying false tan, and having already had a shower that day, I ended up having to get another shower as this had gone through my clothes (I was wearing an old top, which I would definitely advise to anyone wanting to do this). It made my false tan look green also, so that wasn't great. But I suppose that's what happens when you do these things backwards...I clearly didn't think it through.
Oh me.
After applying fresh false tan, and putting on my makeup, I was ready to go!

White Vest - Marks & Spencer, £10, cut to a crop top myself
Denim High Waisted Jeans - Topshop, £36
Platform Converse - Office, £64
Necklace - F&F at Tesco, £7
I also wore a black leather jacket over the top. It might be Summer, but when is it ever warm enough to leave the house without a jacket in Britain?
I thought the spray would kind of 'dry' and the powdery feeling would go. Evidently not, as I returned home wearing a blue tie dye crop top...
I really wish I would have taken a picture of it before I put it in the washing machine smothered in stain remover... Oops. I woke up this morning with blue, just, everywhere. All over my neck, my cheeks, and my hair was so ratty. By this point I was excited to wash it out and see my blonde locks again.
Trying to wash it was hard at first, it felt like I had backcombed every strand of hair and the water literally couldn't get through it. I shampoo'd and conditioned twice, using a Herbal Essences coconut shampoo and conditioner, both designed to re-add moisture to dry and damaged hair. I had to take a picture of the colour of my bath water, just because it was funny, it had more colour than a bath bomb.

I am happy to say my hair is now back blonde! Once I had really let the shampoo get to work once, the second time was easy! I have decided to let my hair dry naturally and am going to stay away from any other hair products for about a week just to let my hair breathe!
Overall, I would recommend this product for a quick and easy way to add some colour to the ends of your hair, or maybe subtle streaks, but would not recommend use all over the head. I think the actual wearing of the product, should be the best and most enjoyable part, but for me it was definitely the most annoying stage, and I was more excited about washing it off.
My advice (if anyone even wants to take advice from me, ha!) would be :
This product is on offer at Superdrug now for £2.97, get it here.

My advice (if anyone even wants to take advice from me, ha!) would be :
- Wear old clothes and move anything out of the way that you don't want to risk being graffiti'd in blue paint.
- If you are going out, wear dark clothing when it is done.
- When washing it out, 100% use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner and maybe even use a hair mask/leave in conditioner afterwards.
- Steer away from using any other hair products for a few days to allow your hair to refresh itself.
