I visited the coolest place on Sunday; a small bar and restaurant called Death Row Dive and Diner. It is made to look like death row, and it is certainly done well! The walls are all exposed bricks and spiderwebs, with metal fences dividing the bar area from the diner. Everything down to the cell style toilets and the 'No Regrets' section of the menu is clearly inspired by death row. The lighting in there was extremely dim and most of the light came from red bulb writing on the walls, so most of the pictures I got ended up having a yellowy/orange tint over the top! I am going to share my choice of outfit and of course a couple of pictures from the diner!
Vintage Oversized Shirt - Pop Boutique, £16
Frayed Denim Shorts (can't be seen on this photo, but I did have them on!) - BooHoo.com, £14
Black Tights - Primark, £5 for a pack of 3
White Vans - Schuh, £40
Pink Bag - BANK Fashion, £30
Geek Glasses - Primark, £5
I think this is the maddest shirt I have ever bought, it is so 80s/90s and I adore it. My verdict with these shirts stands proudly next to the Christmas jumper situation; THE UGLIER THE BETTER! And of course, who would possibly wanna dress like they're fresh off the set of 10 Things I Hate About You without some geeky glasses?! With big patterned shirts, I think it is important to make them the feature piece/focus of your outfit, which is why I kept everything else relatively plain. For my makeup, I am going to do a separate post explaining what I used and why!
So, when me and Luke ordered our food, it came in disposable foil containers, adding to the theme all the more. I ordered a burger which was amazing and had a lollipop stuck through the top of it, how cool?! I also had sweet potato fries and we shared some onion rings which were wrapped in bacon and fried in maple syrup; extremely sinful for someone who likes to eat healthy but hey, if you're gunna treat yourself you have to do it right and make it worthwhile! After we had eaten, we moved over to the bar, which was surprisingly chilled and played the best music. They served some really unique cocktails here, tasting and looking beautiful! For anyone who is in Liverpool, you NEED to go and check this place out.
