What a humble and festive reminder that good exists within our city, and our world in fact. With so much negative attention being directed towards the recent tragedies in Paris and various other cities, both the media and us as citizens can easily overlook and forget about the simple things that people do on a regular basis to help people in need. With Christmas just around the corner, I think it is about time we are reminded of what should be a positive time of the year, and that is exactly what happened this weekend in Liverpool; with the Medicash Santa Dash.
For those who don't know, the Santa Dash is an annual race which takes place every year in Liverpool, and is used 'to fundraise for a wide range of worthy causes'. Of course this is just one of many charitable events which take place throughout the world, but it was extremely humbling to witness the follow up of the race itself, in one of my all time favourite shops - Lush!
On Sunday, after the race, Lush were giving out free Dashing Santa bath bombs to anyone who came into store in their santa suit with their medal (and fun fact, this bath bomb was actually named after the Liverpool Santa Dash!). I managed to get a few photos of just a handful of many 'santa's' who were all in such high spirits with rosy cheeks from the cold, who came into store to pick themselves up a bath bomb. The lovely man in the photo above was the oldest person to take place in the race, which again, is so humbling.

You all know I love Lush, and I'm forever writing about their products, so of course I intended to pick up some bits to show you. The queue however was manic; so big I couldn't actually get around the shop to look at anything to even think about buying it! Better luck next time hopefully.
Ultimately, the reason I visited Lush was to catch the fabulous people who took part in the Santa Dash, and watch such a wonderful cause be linked in with such a wonderful shop, whose staff are amazing and so friendly. I have found myself having many non-bath bomb related conversations with the staff at Lush, and simply chatting away without them trying to sell you a product, which is extremely refreshing. Next time I make a trip to town I will be sure to stop at Lush and pick up some festive products! You can follow the Liverpool Lush store at:
