Did anyone read my last post? If you did, you would have already seen the list of things I bought, and as promised, here is the follow up post, which is more in detail about each product, and I am going to share my choice of clothes.
All products featured are from Superdrug.
Firstly, the brushes. I bought the shading brush, believe it or not, for my eyebrows. I am by no means a makeup specialist, I am not particularly good at it, but it's all about practice, and there is most definitely an art to it! I needed a new brush, and this one just caught my eye. Yes, it is not made for eyebrows, but there is no written rule on what you can and can't use brushes for, and experimenting is the only way to find out... Turns out my experiment went well, and I actually really love this brush for my brows! It really picks the powder up a lot, and just generally works really well for me. This was £6.99.
Just as a little tip, if you are ever unsure as to whether a brush is going to work for a certain thing, just buy it and try it! It will never be a waste of money, because if it doesn't work for one thing, it will work for another!
Next, my lip brush. I am a massive fan of the ombré lip look. If you have never seen this, make sure you have a look on Google, Tumblr, Pinterest etc. THEY ARE GORGEOUS! To achieve a sleek ombré lip, a brush is the key tool. It allows you to blend colours together without completely losing the ombré lips, and stops the different colours all mixing together. I haven't put this brush down since I got it, and would recommend everyone to give it a go! It was £6.99.
The Big Eyes mascara is next! I have had this before, but I think it has been changed. It has two brushes; one for upper lashes, and one for lower lashes. I am pretty sure the upper lashes one used to be bigger. I used to love this brush, and that's why I bought it again! Nevertheless, it still does a pretty similar job, it darkens the lashes, makes them look thick, but also separates them really well. I am a big fan of dolly eyes; really long, thick and black lashes. Some people do not like this look, and I understand that everyone has their own opinion, and this is simply mine! If you don't like your eyes to look this way, you can still use this product, but just don't apply as many layers, as I applied about three layers before I was happy. I always curl my lashes first and apply one layer of my Benefit They're Real mascara, and then use a volumizing mascara next. Here is what my eyes looked like.
This was £8.99.

I already had a Flawless Matte foundation from Barry M, which I really liked, however it is the wrong shade! Boooo. It gives a medium/light coverage, and personally I would say it's more of a tinted moisturiser than it is a foundation. I went for this foundation because I have combination skin, meaning it tends to get greasy easily. Anyone with greasy skin will tell you this is a real pain when you are going out for a full day, because your makeup just comes off! This foundation is oil free, so I was automatically attracted to it. When I discovered it doesn't give a really heavy coverage, I decided it is the perfect choice for my day to day/college base, because I don't want to clog up my pores by wearing a full face of heavy makeup every day. To anyone who has combination or greasy skin, you need to invest in this! I finish it off with a mattifying powder, and it really does stay matte looking for longer! It was £5.99!
This brings me to my next product; Maybelline Matte Maker. I have a couple of matte powders now. My Rimmel one is a transparent one, meaning it doesn't adjust the colour of your foundation. This is really good if you are completely happy with your base colour. However, this one is an ivory shade and adds a slight, sort of vanilla colour over the top. It's nothing major, but I think with a bit of bronzer swept across the cheeks, this powder and my Flawless Matte foundation teamed up together, you get a really fresh and natural glow; the perfect look for college. The powder was £3.99.
I bought another Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick too. As you know, I adore my 107. But this shade was one I have had my eye on since before the Summer! It is a really coral shade (shade 32), and I love light lipsticks because I am pale skinned, so they suit me a lot more than dark ones. I have also found that they make the blue in my eyes pop. It is more of a Summer shade, but I actually wore it today with a patterned autumnal jumper, which had orange in it, and it really worked! There must be an orange tone in the lipstick. It smells just as amazing as my other one, kind of like cherries. If you aren't a fan of light lipsticks, I would advise you to buy any shade. These lipsticks have very quickly became my favourite! It was £5.49, and worth every penny of it. Here is a picture of the lipstick after I lined it with a hot pink liner from Rimmel, and blended around the edges. For this reason, the colour is probably slightly different, but not drastically.

I also picked up some baby wipes, and a box of tissues. They come in really handy for makeup errors! The full list of product details are in my last post, including shade numbers etc.
Finally, what I was wearing!
It was extremely windy and cold here in Liverpool, what I like to call 'big coat weather'!
